PasteDB Nearby Transfer lets you send a public paste directly to another nearby device. Instead of moving a URL through another service, you select the nearby device and send the paste.
Traditional paste sharing often involves another app or an extra step just to move a link between devices.
Copy the paste URL, open WhatsApp, Discord, email or another messaging service, send the link, and finally open it on the other device.
Make the receiving device discoverable, open the paste, choose Nearby Share and select the device. The paste opens on the receiving device without manually moving a URL.
First, make the device that should receive the paste discoverable.
Open PasteDB on the device where you want to receive the paste.
Go to the PasteDB Transfer Page.
On mobile, hold three fingers on the screen for 3 seconds, or press and hold the Be Discoverable button for 3 seconds.

Once the receiver is discoverable, sending a paste only takes a few taps.
Open the public PasteDB paste that you want to send.
Use the Nearby Share option available on the paste page.
Discoverable devices appear in the nearby device list. Select the intended receiver.
The paste opens on the receiving device. There is no need to manually copy the URL or send it through a messaging application.
A receiver temporarily makes their device available for nearby discovery.
The receiver becomes discoverable for a short period. This keeps the device from remaining continuously visible when Nearby Transfer is not being used.
The receiving device is visible for approximately 10 seconds after discovery is enabled.
Nearby Transfer uses approximate location information to help discover nearby devices. Both devices should allow location access for the best experience.
